Villanova

Mike Siani 1969
(Game worn)

Mike not only played football but excelled in baseball while at Villanova.  He was named to the All-America team his junior and senior years and inducted into the Villanova University Sports Hall of Fame in 1988.   The helmet of choice for Mike was the Riddell TK2 with classic BD-9 face mask.  Number 88 had close to 30 achievement award stickers.  In the 1960's award stickers were much larger than today.  In that era you did not get stickers for showing up to practice on time.

Mike was a first round draft choice for the Oakland Raiders in 1972. He set multiple rookie team records for receiving and finished as the runner-up to Franco Harris as NFL Rookie of the Year. Mike had a quick stint in Baltimore before he retired.  These days Mike is the Director of Football Operations for the Myrtle Beach Stingrays Indoor Football league.
