The painted horns on the late 1950s and early 1960s Ram's helmet could arguably be the most attractive style the team has ever worn. Notice the extra width of each horn at the very front of the helmet. Both horns overlap the center ridge of the helmet and meet just below the front rivet forming a sharp "v" (for victory?) in the blue area between the horns. These style horns looks great on both the "RK" (flared ear) and "TK" (round) style shells but it is hard to beat the look of the above pictured "RK" helmet with the raised center ridge that accents the aforementioned effects. And what goes better with this helmet than an original one bar facemask? If the "Dutchman" would not have objected (sure -- he was such a mellow guy -- ha) our friend Hobie would probably vote for substituting a 1950s brown dipped Schutt "cow catcher" style two bar cage which would also look very cool.
